infiniband-diags software package provides InfiniBand diagnostic programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install infiniband-diags
infiniband-diags is installed in your system.
Make ensure the infiniband-diags package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep infiniband-diags *
You will get with infiniband-diags package name, version, architecture and description in a table
